Tonight’s concert concludes a week-long series sharing a selection of the best classical music releases of the year. The pieces on offer include Mendelssohn’s Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed by the

City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Edward Gardner; Beethoven’s Symphony No 4 from the Danish Chamber Orchestra; and Paderewski’s Piano Concerto, performed by American pianist Claire Huangci, who plays with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Shi-yeon Sung.
