The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018)

SKY CINEMA PREMIERE/NOW TV, 8.00PM ★★

Disney ended up holding something of a collapsed soufflé with this heavily reshot live-action fairy tale, which had two directors (Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston) and a mechanical story that required more weirdness or wonder. Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman panto it up to mixed avail in support but – alas – despite their efforts, it’s a curio at best.
