Play Misty for Me (1971)

 Clint Eastwood’s first film served as a precursor to the likes of Fatal Attraction. Eastwood plays a DJ in California who foolishly becomes involved with an obsessed fan (Jessica Walter); she stalks him and becomes dangerous after he decides to call things off. The titular Erroll Garner ballad gets its fair share of creepy airplay as Walter’s character grows more and more troublingly unhinged.
