Ahead of his time Le Cycliste

(1913), by Jean Metzinger, the influential cubist artist, will be sold at Sotheby’s, London, with an estimated price of £1.5 million to £2 million. The painting is included in an Impressionist, Modern and Surrealist Art sale on Feb 4, alongside works by such artists as Marc Chagall and Fernand Léger. It will be on display from Jan 29.
