The documentary strand returns for a well-earned second series. The opening episode, presented by the musician Angela Moran, focuses on the Irish in Birmingham and mixes archive footage with present day interviews to cover everything from the initial migration experience to the dark days of the 1974 Birmingham bombings.

Moran also explores the experiences of later generations and considers how difficult it can be to feel part of two cultures without being fully accepted by either. SH
