Dimbleby criticises PM over threats to BBC

David Dimbleby, the veteran broadcaster, has launched a stinging attack on the Government over its threats to scale back the licence fee.

The long-time Question Time host, who quit in 2018, launched a stronglyworded riposte in an interview broadcast by Germany’s ARD state TV channel, the Daily Mail reported last night. He reportedly said: “Nobody trusts Boris Johnson.” The Prime Minister, he said, “doesn’t give a damn for independent analysis”.
