Don’t let bedbugs bite, Paris warned

French authorities have opened an emergency number for the rapidly rising number of Parisians whose homes are infested by bedbugs. The insects have made a comeback, probably because of international travel and growing resistance to insecticide. Half a million Paris homes were treated for infestations in 2018.
