Governor approves wrestling events

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has been allowed to resume events in Florida, amid speculation the decision is linked to the owners’ close ties to Donald Trump.

Ron Desantis, Florida’s Republican governor, amended the state’s stay-athome order to declare professional wrestling an “essential service” this week to allow WWE to keep filming live TV shows despite the physical proximity the sport entails.
