Potter history

A collection of early drawings and letters by Beatrix Potter, dating primarily from the 1890s when the writer and illustrator was still honing her craft, have been put up for sale for £250,000 by Us-based Doyle Auctions. This drawing from 1894 shows Peter Rabbit eight years before the first of his tales.
