Firm to push the driverless boat out

Driverless water taxis could be coming to Britain as a New York company hopes to start trials in Plymouth this summer.

Buffalo Automation, which uses an intelligence system including cameras and sensors, has already trialled driverless boats in New York.

It says these “autonomous identification” features will ensure safe navigation around vessels, stationary objects and swimmers within 24 nautical miles of the boat.
