All different colours and patterns have been accepted. ♦ Rajinder Singh, 73, said that Sikh temples, or Gurdwaras, closed due to the virus outbreak means many Sikhs are suffering in isolation.

He has made online exercise videos for his community, and has raised £4,000 for the NHS by doing so.

♦ Singer Sophie Ellis-bextor, right, has been performing her hits from her living room to cheer up Britain on Saturday nights. She turns on her disco ball and sings live with her children, seen dancing on Instagram.

♦ Journalists – including our science editor Sarah Knapton – have contributed to a new book called

A Little Light, which will predict ways in which the world will emerge from coronavirus stronger than before.

♦ Putney MP Fleur Anderson raised almost £3,000 for her local NHS trust by running a safely distanced 5km on Saturday. The money will go towards supporting those on the front line, as well as patients and their families, with equipment, food and supplies ♦ A drivethrough Covid-19 testing centre opened in Milton Keynes yesterday. If the pilot is successful, the centre on Grafton Street, right, will become a fully operational site allowing NHS staff, carers and their family members to be tested for coronavirus.

Those who could be tested there are NHS staff, carers, police, fire and rescue service, local authority staff, defence, prisons and probation workers, judiciary and frontline benefit personnel.
