La dolce vita comes to locked-down Lithuania
Lithuania is throwing country-themed parties in the capital to mimic the experience of travelling abroad.
The Baltic state has already held an Italian weekend for residents of Vilnius that saw restaurants turned into trattorias to offer Mediterranean dishes and celebrations of Indian and American culture will follow.
Remigijus Simasius, the mayor of the city, said it will give lockdownweary citizens a chance to “relax from the changed rhythm of life”.
