One America News was founded in 2013 by Robert Herring, a businessman, to challenge Fox News’s domination over US conservative news networks.

Despite its small audience, the network has found the ear of Donald Trump, thanks to its unswervingly favourable coverage of him and his administration.

Mr Trump regularly praises the channel, which describes itself as one of his “greatest supporters” and its reporters are frequently called upon during White House briefings.

It prides itself on being the only news network to carry every single one of Mr Trump’s speeches live and in full.

Last year, One America News said it was available in 35 million homes with viewing figures ranging from 150,000 to 500,000 at any one time.
