BANNED

-

Facial

Facials are among the procedures still not allowed as salons reopen.

Sugaring or threading services

Eyebrow treatments will also not be allowed when salons reopen today, meaning that clients wanting sugaring or threading services will have to wait a while longer.

Facial treatments

Unfortunately any treatments (electrical or mechanical) which require face-to-face contact will remain banned in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Eyelash treatments

Dying and tinting eyelashes would require a beautician to get close to the client’s face, and so remain banned for now.

Make-up application

Make-up artists are also prohibited from doing clients’ make-up under the new guidelines when salons reopen.

Micro blading

Any microblading treatments will also have to wait until the guidance is relaxed to permit face-to-face contact between beauty therapists and their clients.

Face waxing

Treatments on the face will not be permitted when salons reopen, meaning that beauty therapists will not be permitted to remove excess facial hair under the new guidelines.
