Drug cache exposed by film Mafia boss address

A plot by Colombian drug dealers to smuggle cocaine into Italy packed inside individual coffee beans was uncovered because they addressed the package to a fictional Mafia boss.

Police at Milan’s Malpensa airport became suspicious when they saw the package was to be delivered to Santino D’antonio, a character in the action movie John Wick: Chapter II. They followed the package, containing 130g of cocaine, to Florence, and arrested the man who turned up to collect it.
