Pride of face

-

A Swiss flag measuring 80m x 80m – making it one of the largest in the world – has been hung on a rock face below Säntis, the highest peak in the country’s north-eastern Alpine massif. The flag, weighing 700kg, is hung on the mountain on every Aug 1 by a team of avalanche-control climbers to celebrate the country’s national day.
