Can’t pay... we won’t take it away – removal men dump customer’s rubbish in driveway

- By Daily Telegraph Reporter

TWO waste removal men dumped a truckload of a customer’s rubbish over her driveway when she reportedly refused to pay.

Jonathan Morgan, 31, and his brother Calum, 27, who run Cardiff Waste Removal and House Clearance, attended a house in Cardiff on July 20, and spent two hours clearing out mess, including a bed frame, mattresses and doors before loading it on to their lorry.

The customer told the brothers she would return with their payment before they left, but they were forced to phone her when she did not come back.

After they were allegedly blocked on four separate phone numbers, Jonathan said he gave the woman an ultimatum of paying within an hour or they would give her back her property.

The pair claimed the woman dared them to do so, despite them saying that they had already offered a discount as the woman told them she was struggling for money.

Footage then shows the flatbed truck reverse up to the customer’s front door, before lifting its fully loaded rear and dumping a mountain of waste across the doorstep and driveway.

Jonathan said: “We quoted her £120, normally it would have been a £200 job. She seemed like a really nice lady and explained she didn’t have too much money so we said we’d do it for just above cost price.”

He added: “We said if she didn’t pay us within the hour, we’d return the property to her. She sort of dared us to and said she didn’t think we’d do it. But we did. All we did was give her back her property. I wouldn’t want to be accused of stealing.”
