Brilliant Bayern put eight past Barcelona

Bayern Munich scored eight times to humiliate Barcelona and advance to the Champions League semi-finals last night. In a stunning start to the tie, Thomas Muller scored twice and Ivan Perisic and Serge Gnabry added two more in the first half-hour. Robert Lewandowski, Joshua Kimmich and Philippe Coutinho, with two, piled on Barcelona’s misery in the second half as the Germans ran out 8-2 winners. Bayern will next face either Lyon or Manchester City, who meet tonight.
