Bodies found in hunt for teenage brothers missing off coast
THE search for two teenage brothers who went missing at sea off the Lancashire coast has been called off after two bodies were found.
Muhammad Azhar Shabbir, 18, and Ali Athar Shabbir, 16, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, were last seen close to the pier in Lytham St Annes on Saturday evening and although formal identification has not taken place, it is believed that the bodies are theirs.
Their 15-year-old cousin managed to swim to the shore.
A statement from Lancashire Police said: “Their family have been notified and are continuing to be supported by a specially trained officer.”
