Working from home
sir – Eppie Anderson (Letters, August 14) calls attention to the plight of the lower paid if office working is abolished. As a middle-income earner, I am also utterly opposed to the abolition of office working.
I’ve not had to spend the past months sitting on a bed in a shared house, but we haven’t the space for proper desks and office chairs, or the money to buy a larger property.
Home working may make financial sense for employers, but the cost will be borne by their employees.
