Russia ready to inoculate mink to save fur farms
Russia is developing a coronavirus vaccine for mink in an attempt to protect its fur industry, the head of its veterinary watchdog said.
The drug could also be used on domestic cats, Sergey Dankvert said.
Mink farmers in Denmark and the Netherlands have culled tens of thousands of the animals due to coronavirus, and Mr Dankvert said he hoped the vaccine would help Russian farms avoid a similar fate.
