Student quarantine

sir – Could the Government adjust its quarantine policy for students starting their year abroad in September? My son’s university, following Foreign Office advice, is refusing to provide insurance cover for him to study in Portugal for the next nine months, simply because it is on the red list now.

I am sure students will happily quarantine upon return, if required. We need young people with language skills, so let’s support them.
