Trick or treating could break rules, says minister
Trick or treating will be “difficult” as “you’re still going to a stranger’s doorstep”, the Northern Ireland Secretary has said.
Brandon Lewis acknowledged that trick or treating this Hallowe’en would present difficulties due to the rule of six. “Even if there’s three or four of you, you’re still going to a stranger’s doorstep, you are still moving around with other people and we’ve got to be cautious,” he told Times Radio.
Asked if he was advising against trick or treating, Mr Lewis said: “Nobody should be doing anything that can break the rules and I think we’ve got to be cautious about it.”
