Germans given 24 days a year to work from home

-

Germany’s labour minister outlined a plan to allow all employees to work a minimum of 24 days a year from home in a newspaper interview yesterday.

Under the Mobile Work Act, all employees will have a legal right to work from home – unless there are organisational or operational reasons which restrict them from doing so.

Labour minister Hubertus Heil said the 24-day minimum would be particularly appropriate for families, allowing parents to take turns working from home one day each week.
