Sawn-off service
sir – Lloyds Bank has sent me a cheque for £1, to encourage me to download an app that will allow me to pay it in online. Instead, I intend to take it to our post office and pay it in there.
A follow-up email asked what I thought of Lloyds’ service. When I replied that the only way I would willingly pass the threshold of one of its branches was in a stocking mask, holding a sawn-off shotgun, I was disappointed not to receive a reply. Rod Beardsell
