In preparation for the Autumn Congress at the end of the month, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent, the English Bridge Union ran some short trial sessions using the Realbridge platform last week. Assuming the players have cameras and microphones, Realbridge allows you to see and talk to the other players at your table. The graphics for the playing cards are similar to real playing cards and the graphics for a bidding box are similar to those for a real bidding box. The whole idea is to make the experience as similar as possible to being physically at a club. Realbridge also allows you to undo an action (if the other players consent) and allows you to review the bidding or the play to the previous trick.
