Fertility treatment age barriers ‘must be eased’
Age restrictions on fertility treatments must be loosened to stop women missing out on starting families because of lockdown, charities said.
Many NHS bodies have restrictions on the upper age limit for women eligible for Nhs-funded fertility care, ranging from 34 to 42 across England. Charities and patient organisations said the pandemic means some women are falling outside the threshold and missing out on creating a family.
