Neigh­bour fights soared in lock­down, say po­lice

Neigh­bour dis­putes al­most dou­bled in lock­down, a po­lice force has said.

Sus­sex Po­lice me­di­a­tion ser­vice said it had sup­ported 285 peo­ple dur­ing lock­down, 196 per cent more than in the same pe­riod in 2019, over is­sues such as noise and park­ing.

Katy Bourne, po­lice and crime com­mis­sioner for Sus­sex, said: “Lock­down re­stric­tions am­pli­fied res­i­dents’ frus­tra­tions, which they have taken out on each other.”
