‘Cut stamp duty in post-covid rebuild’

Stamp duty should be cut permanently as part of a radical post-covid overhaul to boost investment, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has said. The think tank said that the tax cut should be combined with reforms to increase construction and a surge in infrastructure spending to help speed up the UK’S economic rebound.
