‘Cut stamp duty in post-covid rebuild’

Stamp duty should be cut permanentl­y as part of a radical post-covid overhaul to boost investment, the Organisati­on for Economic Co-operation and Developmen­t has said. The think tank said that the tax cut should be combined with reforms to increase constructi­on and a surge in infrastruc­ture spending to help speed up the UK’S economic rebound.
