Solskjaer sees red over Man Utd ‘kit clash’

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has blamed Manchester United’s disappointing home form on their red shirts clashing with red banners around an empty Old Trafford. The manager’s comments came almost 25 years to the day since Sir Alex Ferguson ordered his players to change their grey kit at Southampton after claiming they were having difficulty picking each other out. Solskjaer said he had taken steps to ensure the red shirts did not get lost against the backdrop. Sport, page 7
