Queen given corgi puppy for her 95th birthday

-

The Queen has been given a corgi puppy for her 95th birthday by Prince Andrew and his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

The not-yet-named six-week-old puppy was handed to the Queen on Thursday, which would have been the late Prince Philip’s 100th birthday.

The pure breed is the third that the Queen has been given by Prince Andrew and his family in recent months, with two given to her while Prince Philip was unwell in hospital.

One, named Fergus, died suddenly at five months old, just one month after Her Majesty lost her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, in April.
