Police arrest 19 staff for refusing them free food

Police in Lahore arrested all 19 staff of a fast-food restaurant for refusing them free burgers.

The employees of Johnny & Jugnu, an upmarket venue in the Pakistani city, were detained for seven hours on Saturday night. Police had been harassing staff for two days, the restaurant said, making “baseless arguments” for free food. Nine officers have now been suspended.
