Several hurt as vehicle crashes into pub garden

Six people have been hurt after being hit by a car outside a pub in Wales.

The driver of the car, a 79-year-old man, is believed to have suffered a medical episode before the crash, South Wales Police said.

One person has suffered lifechanging injuries and the driver is in a critical condition after the incident at the Windsor Hotel in Llantrisant Road, Pontyclun.

Four have also been taken to hospital as a precaution, suffering from what are described as minor injuries.

One customer said: “I went outside and it was just littered with people – there were several who looked badly injured.”
