Profits at trading platform soar

Online trading platform IG Group posted a 52pc jump in profits to £450.3m for the year to the end of May, while revenues soared by a third to £853.4m. The performance was driven by new retail investors playing the markets during the pandemic, with the FTSE 250 firm’s active customer base growing by more than 30pc to 313,300.
