Stakes are high

US President Joe Biden at a CNN town hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, this week. When asked about rising prices he acknowledged “there will be near-term inflation” as the economy rebounds from the pandemic but added it was “highly unlikely long-term inflation will get out of hand”.
