Public inconvenience
sir – Following on from the article (Money, August 7) about organisations refusing to accept notes and coins, I want to alert readers who only carry cash with them when going for a stroll in the park.
The Royal Parks in London have replaced the coin slots in their public lavatories with a contactless device. Last week, in Richmond Park, I had to use my debit card to pay the 20p entrance fee. Pat Woods
