Karate kata

Karate made its debut at these Olympics, but anyone tuning in expecting fisticuffs would have been disappointed, then baffled if catching a kata session. This is the demonstration form of karate, in which participants aim to show off that they know the moves they would theoretically be using in an actual bout. Not very threatening, but a pleasant watch.
