Harrison Ford wishes retiring firefighter well

-

A member of the London Fire Brigade was given a retirement present he is unlikely to forget – a surprise visit from Harrison Ford.

The brigade’s Blue Watch had just finished roll call at around 8pm on Saturday evening when the Star Wars actor got out of a car that happened to stop outside the station. Ford, 79, spoke with Andrew Shaw for a while and wished him well with his retirement.

After the encounter, station officer Ryan Osborne said: “It was a pleasure to be able to say farewell to Andrew on his last shift with the impromptu help of Han Solo.”
