Virtual bridge clubs have held heats of the British Summer Simultaneous Pairs, writes

Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent, and a different set of boards was in play on each of four days. The winners of the Wednesday and Thursday sessions are as follows:

Wednesday: 1st John Hawkins and David Barrett (Hungerford, Berkshire), 65.50%; 2nd Jake Tredinnick and Bill Russell (Hungerford), 65.46%; and 3rd Allan Oddie and Giles Ip (Heritage Coast, Suffolk), 65.30%.

Thursday: 1st Dodo Georgevic and Denis Gough (Northfield, Birmingham), 72.82%; 2nd Paul Hazard and Jane Hazard (Patcham, Sussex), 70.97%; and 3rd James Dutton and Shirley Dutton (Allendale, Dorset), 67.19%.
