Two held after woman’s body found in bushes
Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in undergrowth near a main road.
Her body was discovered by a member of the public on Monday.
Police were called around 3pm and shut the northbound A3 slip road out of Guildford, Surrey.
Two men were arrested last night in connection with Surrey and Sussex’s Major Crime Team investigation. Both remain in custody.
Detectives suspect the woman, who has not been identified but believed to be in her 40s, was murdered at another location before her body was dumped.
Det Chief Insp Emma Vickers said: “We are investigating this as a murder.”
