Girl, two, dies as mystery blaze engulfs caravan
A girl aged two has died in an “unexplained” fire at a caravan park, police investigating the incident said yesterday.
The child was trapped in a caravan that was gutted by flames at Sealands Caravan Park in Ingoldmells, near Skegness, Lincs, at around 10.30pm on Monday. Her mother and three siblings escaped and have been released after receiving medical treatment in hospital, said Lincolnshire Police.
Shaun Walker, whose caravan was next to the fire, told The Sun: “I saw the caravan on fire. The flames were really high and crisping.
“I just thought, ‘I hope, dear God, that the adults and children got out’.”
