‘I own approximately 607 reusable water bottles’

- Bryony Gordon

I have reusable water bottles that feature cups, reusable water bottles featuring designer prints, and reusable water bottles that claim to be self cleaning.

Another came with healing crystals at the bottom of it – a gift that promptly went to the back of the cupboard.

Prepandemic, I was very good at using my reusable water bottles, but I am afraid to say that I am now horribly out of practice, so long has it been since I have left the house on a regular basis.

Now, I get to the train station, feel thirsty, and picture the hundreds of thousands of reusable water bottles – inside my kitchen cupboard. Doh!

Do I push on through the thirst and save the planet, or cave to my dehydration and buy a plastic bottle? Let’s face it: mineral water in a plastic bottle tastes better than tap water in a reusable one. I’m sorry, it just does. The healing crystals may change my mind, but I doubt it.
