Quarterly sales rise at Jd.com

Shares in Chinese e-commerce giant Jd.com rose 15pc in Hong Kong and as much as 15pc in New York after its revenues beat estimates, defying a regulatory crackdown on the country’s tech sector that has stemmed growth across the industry. Revenues rose 26pc to 254bn yuan (£29bn) for the three months ended June.
