Brexit checks at border face further delays
New border checks on European Union goods entering the UK are on course to be delayed for the second time amid concerns they will fuel further disruption for supermarkets and shops in the run-up to Christmas. Whitehall officials are in talks over postponing the rollout of the post-Brexit border regime, just weeks before controls involving paperwork requirements for imports of animal origin and high-risk foods were due to start being implemented.
