Lee Isaac Chung’s autobiographical tale of a Korean family settling as farmers in the Ozarks in the 1980s has the hazy energy of a dream. It’s a finely observed portrait of family relations, especially in the interactions of seven-year-old David (Alan Kim) and his no-nonsense Korean grandmother (an Oscar-winning Youn Yuh-jung). And the depiction of rural American values is fresh and uncondescending.
