Call the police if anti-vaxxers turn up, schools told
TEACHERS have been told to call the police if anti-vaccine protesters demonstrate outside their schools.
After the UK Health Security Agency was made aware that some schools had received campaign letters with “misinformation” about the vaccine, it advised any institutions that faced anti-vaccine demonstrations to contact the police.
Ministers confirmed this week that about three million children aged 12 to 15 would start receiving the jabs at school from next week.
Dr Nikki Kanani, deputy director of the Covid vaccination programme, said: “It is completely unacceptable for anyone involved in administering the Covid vaccine to be subjected to verbal abuse or violence, and we will be working with local partners to ensure that children, teachers and vaccinators are safe.”
