Murdoch signs Morgan for new TV channel

Rupert Murdoch has ambushed the British television industry with the launch of an insurgent current affairs channel spearheaded by the former News of the World editor Piers Morgan, aiming to succeed where GB News has struggled. The media mogul has signed up Morgan as star presenter for Talktv, which is scheduled to go on air early next year and broadcast “proper hourly news bulletins, sports and entertainment as well as current affairs, debate, opinion and documentaries”.
