Radio 3 in Concert: Leeds International Piano Competition

In the prestigious contest for pianists known as The Leeds, Andrew Mcgregor and Katya Apekisheva present the first of two concerto finals, live from the Town Hall. Radio 3 has been following the competition, and things build towards their dramatic conclusion tonight as three of the five finalists perform some of the greatest piano concertos ever written, with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrew Manze. There are highlights and interviews with the competitors.
