Based on the storming musical, this is a sassy update of Billy Elliot for the Instagram era. Jamie (newcomer Max Harwood) is a teenager who dreams of being a drag queen. But he’s stalled by his homophobic father and small-minded teachers. Then he meets Richard E Grant’s fabulous dress shop owner and, with a push from his friend (Lauren Patel), he takes to the stage.
