Man held after woman’s body discovered in park
A YOUNG woman found dead in a London park on the weekend has been named as 28-year-old Sabina Nessa, police have confirmed.
Ms Nessa was discovered near a community centre in Cator Park, Kidbrooke Park Road, at 5:30pm on Saturday.
Police suspect she was attacked at around 8:30pm the previous day.
A post-mortem examination was inconclusive. A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Detectives are appealing for dog walkers and runners who may have been in the park to come forward with information.
Det Chief Insp Joe Garrity from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command said: “We are working around the clock to deliver justice for the family of this young woman.”
